Welcome to the website of The LIME Foundation (“The LIME Foundation,” “LIME,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of thelimefoundation.org, including its forms, content, donation features, program information, communications, and related services.

By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. About The LIME Foundation

The LIME Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities through education, vocational training, mentorship, arts programs, housing initiatives, senior activities, and community-support programs.

Information on this website is provided for general informational, educational, charitable, and organizational purposes.

2. Eligibility and Use of the Website

You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

By using the website, you agree that you will not:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized information
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with a person or organization
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its accounts, servers, databases, or connected systems

  • Misuse application forms, contact forms, donation systems, or communication tools
  • Collect information about other website users without authorization
  • Use website content for an unlawful or unauthorized commercial purpose
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit protected website content without permission

We may restrict or terminate access to the website when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

3. Program Information and Applications

The LIME Foundation provides information about educational, vocational, mentoring, arts, housing, senior, and community-support programs.

Program availability, eligibility requirements, schedules, locations, instructors, services, benefits, and funding may change. Although we make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate, we do not guarantee:

  • Acceptance into a program
  • Continued program availability
  • Specific class, event, or appointment dates
  • Employment, internship, or job-placement outcomes
  • Certification or licensing outcomes
  • Scholarship or financial assistance
  • Housing availability or placement
  • Volunteer or mentorship opportunities
  • Completion of a program within a particular period
  • Any particular educational, professional, or financial result

Submitting an application or inquiry does not guarantee admission, enrollment, assistance, funding, housing, employment, or participation.

Applicants and participants are responsible for providing accurate and complete information. Additional applications, interviews, eligibility documents, releases, waivers, background checks, or participation agreements may be required.

4. Programs Involving Minors

Some LIME Foundation programs may serve children or teenagers.

When required, a parent or legal guardian must complete or authorize applications, registrations, waivers, medical releases, transportation permissions, media releases, and other program documents for a minor.

Submitting an online inquiry or application for a minor does not replace any additional parental or guardian authorization required by The LIME Foundation.

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for reviewing program-specific requirements and providing accurate information concerning the minor.

5. Volunteer and Mentor Participation

Submitting a volunteer or mentor inquiry does not guarantee placement or acceptance.

Volunteer and mentor opportunities may be subject to:

  • Interviews
  • Reference checks
  • Background screening
  • Training
  • Scheduling requirements
  • Codes of conduct
  • Confidentiality obligations
  • Program-specific agreements
  • Additional eligibility or safety requirements

The LIME Foundation may accept, decline, suspend, or end a volunteer or mentor assignment when reasonably necessary to protect participants, staff, volunteers, the organization, or the public.

6. Events

Event dates, times, locations, speakers, activities, capacity, and other details may change.

Registration does not guarantee admission when an event reaches capacity or when participation requirements are not satisfied. The LIME Foundation may postpone, relocate, modify, or cancel an event when reasonably necessary.

Separate event rules, releases, refund terms, or registration conditions may apply and will be communicated when appropriate.

7. Donations

All donations are voluntary. Unless otherwise required by law or stated in a specific fundraising campaign, donations are generally nonrefundable.

The LIME Foundation is a nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donors should consult a qualified tax professional regarding their individual circumstances.

The LIME Foundation may:

  • Decline or return a donation
  • Contact a donor to clarify a donation designation
  • Redirect a restricted donation when the stated purpose has been completed, becomes impractical, or cannot legally be fulfilled, to the extent allowed by law and applicable donation terms
  • Correct transaction or receipt errors
  • Use unrestricted donations where they are most needed to advance the organization’s charitable mission

Donations may be processed by a third-party payment or fundraising platform. Use of that platform is also subject to the provider’s terms and privacy policy.

The LIME Foundation is not responsible for errors, interruptions, or security practices controlled exclusively by an independent payment provider.

8. Recurring Donations

If you authorize a recurring donation, the selected payment method may be charged at the frequency and amount shown when you enroll.

You are responsible for maintaining accurate payment information. Instructions for modifying or canceling a recurring donation may be provided by the donation platform or The LIME Foundation.

Cancellation will apply to future scheduled payments and will not ordinarily reverse donations already processed.

9. Email Communications

If you subscribe to an email newsletter or otherwise request email communications, The LIME Foundation may send program information, event announcements, organizational updates, fundraising communications, or other authorized content.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications may not stop necessary administrative messages concerning an application, donation, registration, event, or program in which you are participating.

10. SMS/Text Messaging Terms

SMS Consent

Consent to receive text messages is optional and is not a condition of making a donation, submitting an application, participating in a program, volunteering, or receiving services.

SMS consent obtained for conversational or informational messages will not be used to send unrelated promotional or fundraising messages. If The LIME Foundation offers promotional text messages, separate consent will be requested where required.

Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary depending on your inquiry, application, enrollment, program participation, volunteer activities, or requested services.

Message and data rates may apply according to the terms of your mobile service plan. Your wireless carrier may impose charges for sending or receiving text messages.

The LIME Foundation and participating wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
